How we can help Secondary Schools

EuroTalk fits easily into the curriculum throughout all secondary years. Many schools use EuroTalk to help progress towards public examinations such as GCSE’s and ‘A’ levels. Computer-based resources have proven particularly effective for secondary schools because of their interactive elements, which keep students motivated.

EuroTalk software focusses on the all-important skills of listening and speaking, allowing students the opportunity to practise their language skills and easily build confidence.

We supply software for all mainstream MFL as well as lots of other languages that are further afield – over 120 in total.

If your class speaks a number of different languages, we can also help - every one of our discs enables you to choose the language you learn from - so if a pupil struggles with English, that doesn’t mean that they have to struggle learning another language!

Case Study: Wath Comprehensive School – Language College in Rotherham

Wath began a set of ‘twilight sessions’ offering family language learning at secondary level for students and adults using EuroTalk software. Positive feedback from the students led Wath to offer 30 different languages at these classes. Wath was later awarded a European Award for Languages Prize as a result of the way they use EuroTalk in their school.

Outcomes of the project:

“High levels of learner satisfaction with the language learning experience. Overwhelmingly positive word of mouth feedback from trips abroad. Competitive elements of the scheme and the software created an infectious atmosphere of wanting to achieve. Even teachers at the school enjoy access to the programme, adding an additional 60+ learners (aged 24-60)!”
