Sevina Lee is JLC Champion 2009!

The JLC 2009 Final was held at the Language Show on October 30th. Congratulations to the winner, 10-year-old Sevina Lee from Red House School in Stockton-on-Tees. Sevina fought off some stiff competition to take the title, including a nail-biting tiebreaker round against Rishik Pilla from Ilford. And as if that wasn't enough, we had a tie for third place as well! Well done to Daniel Shlomo from University College Junior School in London, who won the tiebreaker and took third prize.

I think people should try out EuroTalk because it is excellent fun and provides a great learning experience for all ages. It only costs two pounds fifty to enter, and from my view it is well worth it. All the money they raise they put towards charities in Africa to try and educate poor children and make life better.

The two years that I have participated I completed all three levels each getting more difficult and more exotic as they pass. I learned Polish, Mandarin, Lugandan, Dutch, Vietnamese and Zulu. I hope that more and more children will choose to go for gold in the Euro Talk championships to come.
