If you have a microphone, but can’t seem to record any sound, you may need to select this as an input device before it will work.

1. Go to ‘System Preferences’ (in the Dock or under the Apple logo in the top left of your screen). Select ‘Sound’ and then select the ‘Input’ tab.
2. Select your input device (i.e. Microphone) and then drag the volume control bar to an appropriate level.
3. Run the program again.
